Structure and working principle of AC motor
As a very professional professional core course, it is surprising that there is so much reading. Here, I only have to be more careful about every knowledge point of the course, so that laymen can understand the excitement and experts can understand the way. This is my responsibility to all readers.
1. The structure of AC motor (stator part)
As shown in Figure 1 below, it is the stator part of the AC motor, which consists of windings, iron core (made of silicon steel sheets), insulating paper (blue, embedded in the stator slot), bamboo sticks (long strips like chopsticks, Embedding the outer side of the stator slot, that is, the inner edge of the circular stator), and other auxiliary materials.
Figure 1 The stator of an AC motor
As shown in Figure 2 below, it is an enlarged view of the inner side of the stator part of the AC motor. You can clearly see the insulating paper and bamboo sticks (dry bamboo sticks are also good insulating materials).
Figure 2 Inside of the stator part of an AC motor (insulating paper and bamboo sticks)
In Figure 3 below, it can be clearly seen that the iron core of the stator part of the AC motor is made of silicon steel sheets? Do you remember why you did this?

In addition, for most AC motors, the windings are embedded in the stator. In order to improve the firmness and insulation of the winding in the stator, epoxy resin material needs to be poured, and the epoxy resin is embedded in every corner of the winding in the form of high voltage. As shown in Figure 4 below, it is a steamer grate pouring epoxy resin material into the stator part of the AC motor.

2. The structure of AC motor (rotor part)
The rotor part of the AC motor is relatively simple. At present, the rotor of the most common AC motor on the market is also called a squirrel-cage rotor, as shown in Figure 5 below. Since the real picture of the rotor with the squirrel cage structure cannot clearly observe its structure like a mouse cage, and the details of its rotor core, here is a three-dimensional structure picture on the Internet to explain (if there is any infringement, immediately delete).
Figure 5 The rotor part of the AC motor (squirrel cage structure, this figure is from the Internet, hereby marked)
Although the rotor structure of the AC motor is relatively simple, if you want to have a deep understanding of the working principle of the AC motor, you must analyze and deliberate based on the rotor structure, and finally you can thoroughly understand and master the working principle of the AC motor.
In the self-media (TikTok, Kuaishou or Station B), you can manually enter keywords, such as "motor squirrel cage", "rotor squirrel cage structure", etc., to view the three-dimensional structure of the squirrel cage rotor (animated form, which is relatively clear) thorough).
3. Working principle of AC motor
Here, it is impossible to fully express the author's explanation of the working principle of the AC motor with only pictures and words. Therefore, with the help of current self-media functions, such as Douyin, Kuaishou or Station B, the working principle of AC motors is explained.
(1) At station B, there is a short video that tells how the rotor part of the AC motor rotates and moves, and the rotor part is in the form of a squirrel cage structure. Station B is:

(2) In Station B, foreign counterparts also described the working principle (including structure) of the AC motor through a three-dimensional dynamic view. Here, the author recommends the video works of the foreign counterparts to everyone, but the dubbing is in Chinese (the domestic counterparts translated the foreign language into Chinese), which has been understood by everyone. In addition, on Kuaishou and Douyin, there are also self-media materials explaining the working principle of AC motors. When you go out of the toilet, get under the quilt before going to sleep, when you are bored, or when you browse other entertainment videos on these self-media platforms, you can master the working principle of the AC motor by the way.
4. Summary
In this lesson, taking the AC motor with squirrel-cage structure as an example, its structure and working principle are explained. In fact, there are many other structural forms of AC motors. In the offline classroom, the author will introduce the new permanent magnet motors designed by himself, optimized in structure, processed and equipped in factories, including flux switching motors and permanent magnet memory motors. The purpose is to broaden everyone's professional horizons , Improve professional interest.
Of course, if any colleagues want to know about the above-mentioned new structure motor, please leave a message, or directly refer to the articles published by myself and my colleagues. Thank you very much for the reading and support of unfamiliar or familiar colleagues.
