What should be checked before installing the motor?

Date:2024-10-14   Author:XINDA MOTOR

1. Check whether the motor is well assembled and whether the firmware is loose; whether the conductive connecting parts are in good contact and whether there is any rust.

2. Check in detail the model and various data marked on the motor nameplate, such as rated capacity, rated voltage, protection level, etc., to see if they are consistent with the drawing requirements or actual on-site requirements.

3. Turn the shaft by hand to check whether the shaft rotates flexibly and whether the axial movement exceeds the allowable range.

4. Check whether the paint on the damping motor housing is intact, whether there are rotation direction marks and numbers on the housing, whether the housing is damaged, whether the fan cover and fan blades have cracks, whether the fan rotation direction is correct, and whether the fixing keys or screws are tightened.

5. Open the junction box and use a multimeter to check whether the three-phase winding is open circuit. If necessary, use a bridge to measure the DC resistance of the three-phase winding to check whether the resistance deviation is within the allowable range (the difference between the DC resistance of each phase winding and the average value of the three-phase resistance should generally not exceed plus or minus 2%).

6. Use a megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between the phase windings of the motor and between the phase windings and the housing. If the rated voltage of the motor is 500V, use a 500V megohmmeter to measure, and the measured insulation resistance value shall not be less than 0.5MΩ.

7. Remove the bearing cover or open the bearing shell to check whether the bearing grease has changed color, deteriorated and hardened, and whether the amount of grease is sufficient. If the bearing is well lubricated, gently turn the rotor, and the rotor should rotate flexibly without friction.

8. Check whether the balance weight on the rotor is fastened. If it is fixed with screws, it should be locked;

9. Check whether the gap between the stator end cover seal ring and the shaft meets the requirements of the motor manufacturer. If the manufacturer has no requirements, it should generally be 0.1~0.33mm. In dusty areas, measures should be taken to prevent dust from entering the motor bearings.

10. Check whether the joint surfaces of the internal connecting parts of the motor are flat, whether the connecting screws of each part and each coil wire are tightened, and whether there are any anti-loosening measures.

Since its establishment, Shandong Xinda Motor Co., Ltd. has been actively developing and manufacturing small motors and reducers. During this period, it has adhered to the concept of customer first and quality first as the driving force, and has continuously and carefully improved and expanded various technologies, absorbed the advantages of small motors and reducers in the industry, and developed various series of product combinations that meet the expectations of the industry. Our product reform began with market demand, and our insistence on quality comes from the support of customers. Mobile phone: +86 18606382728
