Brushless DC motors use permanent magnet materials for excitation instead of electrical excitation. Under the same working conditions, they are small in size and light in weight. In addition, brushless motors have the advantages of high efficiency and energy saving, good control characteristics, high reliability, long life, and low noise. They are replacing AC motors in more and more home appliance fields. Compared with single-phase AC motors, brushless DC motors have the following advantages:

1. Speed regulation:
Currently, AC motors can only achieve three-speed regulation, while DC brushless motors can achieve infinite speed regulation between 0-1500 rpm, which greatly facilitates users to choose the appropriate speed and increases the comfort of product use.

2. Noise:
Both the startup noise and the operating noise are reduced: First, the DC frequency conversion realizes soft start, and the balanced operating state eliminates the noise generated when the range hood is started. Secondly, users can choose different frequencies according to their needs, between 0-1500 rpm, and choose the corresponding operating state, and the noise is always in an ultra-low range.

3. Air volume:
The brushless DC motor itself has the characteristics of high starting torque, strong overload capacity, and hard load characteristics. When the user actually uses it, the motor speed should be higher than that of the AC motor, and the air volume should also be higher than that of the AC motor.

4. System efficiency:
High efficiency is the advantage of the DC brushless speed control system. The full pressure efficiency of the range hood can be 7-8 percentage points higher than that of the AC motor, reaching 29.78%.

5. Energy saving:
Energy saving has become the development direction of home appliances in the future. Range hoods are also appliances that are used every day in the family. Although they are not used for a long time each time, the energy consumption is still very large due to the low efficiency of the AC motor currently used. The energy saving space of using DC brushless motors is very large. Through experiments, it is found that under the same air volume, the AC asynchronous motor requires an input power of 180W, while the DC motor only requires 80W. The efficiency of DC motors is more than 50% higher than that of AC motors.
