How to choose the gear parameters of the planetary reducer

The gear parameter selection of the planetary reducer has a great influence on the noise, specifically: the planetary reducer is made of high-quality low-carbon alloy steel through the gear grinding process to reduce noise and vibration, but when it is used, when faced with a paired combination, many Operators need to pay attention to the hardness of the working tooth surface of the pinion gear is slightly harder than that of the large gear.


When the screw jack meets the strength, it can be considered to use gears of different sizes to mesh with each other, and the purpose of noise reduction can also be achieved.

1. Adopting a smaller pressure angle can reduce the running noise. Considering the influence of strength comprehensively, the value is usually 20°.

When the structure allows, priority should be given to the use of helical gears, compared with spur gears, its vibration and noise are greatly reduced. Generally, the helix angle is required to be selected between 8°C and 20°C.

2. On the premise of meeting the bending fatigue strength, when the center distance of the reducer is constant, more teeth should be selected, so as to improve the coincidence degree, make the drive stable, and reduce noise. On the premise of satisfying the driving requirements, the teeth of the large and small gears should be made as prime as possible so as to disperse and eliminate the influence of gear manufacturing errors on the drive. It is also possible that certain teeth on the large and small gears mesh with each other periodically, so that the drive is stable and the drive is reduced. little noise.

3. Under the economic capacity that the user can afford, the precision grade of the gear should be improved as much as possible during the design. Precision grade gears produce much less noise than lower precision grade gears.
