Date:2023-01-30 Author:XINDA MOTOR

The nameplate of the three- phase asynchronous motor indicates some main technical parameters of the motor, these parameters include the motor model, rated power, rated current, rated voltage, speed, wiring method, and protection level data. If you can be familiar with the nameplate parameters of asynchronous motors, it will be of great help to us in correct use and maintenance.

Usually, the nameplate of a three- phase asynchronous motor has the following parameters:

Motor model: the first letter Y asynchronous motor (Y squirrel cage type YR winding type) The second series of numbers The height of the center core of the motor frame The third letter L indicates the long base S the short base M The number at the end of the base Number of poles!

Rated power: Indicates the mechanical power output on the shaft when the motor is running under rated working conditions. It is represented by the symbol "P", and the unit is represented by "KW" or kilowatt.

Rated current: Indicates the line current input by the stator circuit when the motor is running under rated conditions. It is represented by "Le", and the unit is "A" or "A".

Rated voltage: refers to the line voltage value that should be added to the three-phase winding of the motor stator. It is represented by the symbol "Ue", and the unit is "V" or "Volt". If there are two rated values on the nameplate, 220/380 volts, it means that the rated voltage of the stator winding should be 220 volts when it is connected in △, and its rated voltage should be 380 volts when it is connected in star (Y) shape. .

Frequency: Frequency refers to the allowable frequency on the stator winding of the motor. The rated frequency of the domestic asynchronous motor is 50Hz, which is represented by the symbol "f", and the unit is "Hz" or "Hertz".

Rated speed: The speed on the nameplate refers to the speed of the motor under the rated state. It is represented by the symbol "n", and the unit is "rev/min".

Wiring method: refers to the wiring method of the rated sub-winding of the motor under the rated voltage. There are two connection methods of Y (star) and △ (triangle) in half .

Insulation level: refers to the level of insulation material used in the motor stator winding, which indicates the upper limit of the motor's allowable operating temperature. The grades of insulating materials are divided into seven grades, namely:

Y: 90°, A: 105°, E: 120°, B: 130°, F: 155°, R: 180°, C: over 180°

Temperature rise: refers to the value that the winding temperature of the motor is allowed to be higher than the ambient temperature, that is, the difference between the motor winding temperature and the ambient temperature.

Working mode: refers to the duration and cycle allowed by different working conditions and situations under the rated working conditions of the motor. The working mode can be divided into three types: continuous ( S1), short-term (S2) and intermittent (S3).

Protection level: Indicates the protection capability of the motor, the format is IP * * (the asterisk is a two-digit number, such as IP 4 4), IP is the English abbreviation of protection, and the first digit behind it indicates the level of preventing solid objects from entering the interior, the first The two-digit value indicates the level of protection against water ingress.
