It is easy to make high-speed, high-voltage, high-current, and large-capacity motors. AC motor power covers a wide range, from a few watts to hundreds of thousands of kilowatts, or even millions of kilowatts. Therefore, the replacement of DC drive by AC drive has gradually become a reality.

According to the data, from 2013 to 2020, the output of AC motors in my country showed a trend of fluctuation and rising. In 2020, the output of AC motors in my country was 317.05 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 10.34%. As of September 2021, China's AC motor production reached 304.491 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 30.1%.

By 2020, the sales revenue of AC motors in China will increase to 117.62 billion yuan. It is expected that with the gradual control of the epidemic and the recovery of industry price cycles in the future, the market size of AC motors in my country will resume growth and will exceed 160 billion yuan by 2022.

From the perspective of regional proportion, the output of AC motors in East China will be the highest in 2020, accounting for 68.2%, followed by Central China, with the output of AC motors accounting for 10.1%. The output of AC motors in North China and South China accounted for more than 5%, 8.9% and 5.2% respectively.

According to the data, from 2015 to 2020, the export volume of China's AC motors showed an upward trend, rising to 343 million units by 2020, and the export value also showed an upward trend. From the import point of view, the number of AC motors exported by China is small, but the price is high, which is a high-end product. In 2020, China's total import and export of AC motors reached 5.479 billion US dollars, with a trade surplus of 3.081 billion US dollars.

From the perspective of China's export distribution of AC motors, the number of single-phase AC motors exported in 2020 is 325.214 million units, accounting for 94.92% of the total export volume; the export value is 2.32 billion US dollars, accounting for 54.2% of the total export value. The export volume of polyphase AC motors (output power ≤ 750W) is 11.136 million units, and the export value is 390 million US dollars.

The total output of China's top ten small AC manufacturers is 103.226 million kilowatts, accounting for 73.2% of the total output of small AC motors. Among them, Wolong Holdings has the highest output, reaching 49.181 million kilowatts in 2020, much higher than the second Anhui Wannan. The fastest growing company is Anbo Motors, with an output of 3.78 million kilowatts in 2020, an increase of 20.4% compared to 2019.

The total output of China's top ten large and medium-sized AC manufacturers is 51.907 million kilowatts, accounting for 82.5% of the total output of small AC motors. Among them, Wolong Holdings still has the highest output, with an output of 21.672 million kilowatts in 2020, also far exceeding other companies. The company with the fastest growth rate is CLP Motor, with an output of 2.2 million kilowatts in 2020, an increase of 36.6% compared to 2019.
