China Automobile Association: Sales of new energy vehicles in May reached 447,000, an increase of 1.1 times year-on-year

In the second quarter of this year, due to the impact of the epidemic and other factors, the industrial chain and supply chain have been greatly impacted, the terminal market has been greatly affected due to normal business operations, and consumers are waiting to see the market, resulting in large fluctuations in production and sales in the short term . With the introduction of a series of national and local policies to ensure economic growth, the policy effects will be gradually released, the normal economic order will be restored quickly, and the economic operation will soon return to the normal track. Enterprises in the industry are making every effort to seize the important window period in the last month of the second quarter, and while stabilizing the production and sales situation in the second quarter, they are striving to maintain full-year expectations. Especially after entering June, policies such as halving the purchase tax have begun to exert force. It is expected that the production and sales situation will continue to improve in June.

In May, the production and sales of automobiles reached 1.926 million and 1.862 million respectively, a month-on-month increase of 59.7% and 57.6% respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 5.7% and 12.6% respectively. From January to May, the production and sales of automobiles reached 9.618 million and 9.555 million respectively, a year-on-year decrease of 9.6% and 12.2% respectively. Up to now, except for a small number of enterprises that have not resumed work due to the impact of the epidemic, automobile enterprises across the country have resumed work and production well. The flow of production personnel, logistics and transportation, and supplier supply have all improved significantly, and production capacity has gradually climbed.

In May, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 466,000 and 447,000 respectively, an increase of 1.1 times year-on-year. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 364,000 units and 347,000 units, an increase of 1 times and 93.9% year-on-year respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 102,000 units and 100,000 units, an increase of 1.8 times and 1.6 times year-on-year respectively; The production and sales of fuel cell vehicles were 243 and 103 respectively, an increase of 5.4 times and 10.4 times year-on-year respectively. In May, the market share of new energy vehicles reached 24%, of which passenger cars accounted for 26.3%.

From January to May, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 2.071 million and 2.003 million respectively, an increase of 1.1 times year-on-year, and both exceeded 2 million. According to the monthly change pattern, we are confident that the annual number will exceed 5 million. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 1.642 million units and 1.586 million units, an increase of 1 times year-on-year; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 427,000 units and 416,000 units, an increase of 1.9 times and 1.7 times year-on-year respectively; fuel cell vehicles Production and sales were completed at 1,000 and 9,000 units respectively, an increase of 5.8 times and 3.5 times year-on-year respectively.

In May, despite the influence of factors such as poor international logistics and weak domestic supply capacity, the monthly export of automobiles still reached a new high for the year. In the month, the company exported 245,000 vehicles, an increase of 73% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 62.3%. Among them, 43,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a month-on-month increase of 305.7% and a year-on-year increase of 130.5%.

In terms of models, passenger cars exported 196,000 units this month, a month-on-month increase of 97.5% and a year-on-year increase of 69.7%; commercial vehicles exported 49,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 15.8% and a year-on-year increase of 38.2%. From January to May, auto companies exported 969,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 44.7%. In terms of models, the export of passenger vehicles was 747,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 46%; the export of commercial vehicles was 222,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 40.4%.
