DC motors can be divided into brushed DC motors and brushless DC motors. The same is true for reduction motors. In some products with large torque, DC reduction motors are required. So what are the differences between brushed DC motors and brushless DC reduction motors? What's the difference?

The brushless DC deceleration system consists of a DC motor and a drive motor. It operates in an automatic control mode. It does not use a heavy load to start the synchronous motor like variable frequency speed regulation, so it will not cause oscillation and out-of-step phenomena when the load changes. In terms of structure, both brushed motors and brushless motors have rotors and stators, but the structures of the two DC reduction motors are opposite. The rotor of the brushed DC reduction motor has loose coils and is not connected to the output shaft, and the stator is a permanent magnet. . The difference is that the brushless DC reduction motor rotor is connected to the housing and output shaft by permanent magnets, and the winding coil is the stator, without the motor and commutator realizing electronic commutation through Hall sensors.

Since the frequency and waveform of the current wave change after the DC reduction motor is input to the stator coil, the coil will form a magnetic field that rotates around the geometric axis of the DC reduction motor. This magnetic field causes the permanent magnets on the rotor to rotate, causing the DC reduction motor to start rotating. , the performance of DC reduction motor is related to the number of permanent magnets, magnetic flux intensity, input voltage and other factors, and has a great impact on the control performance. Therefore, the speed regulation of DC reduction motor requires single chip microcomputer control, circuit control, etc. The price is much more expensive than brushed motors.

However, this DC reduction motor also has many advantages

1. Without brushes, there are no friction sparks, which greatly reduces the interference of electric sparks on radio equipment;

2. Due to reduced friction during operation, the noise will also be reduced;

3. The service life is almost a unit of thousands of years, but this is related to the quality of the bearings. The service life of a brushed DC reduction motor is generally hundreds to thousands of hours. When the service limit is reached, the brushes need to be replaced;

4. The brushless motor control method adopts digital frequency conversion control, which has strong controllability and can realize rotation from a few to hundreds of thousands of revolutions per minute. The brushed DC reduction motor has a constant speed after starting and simple speed adjustment;

5. Brushless motors are generally used for products with high control requirements, large rotation speeds, and long working hours, such as precision instruments, robots, etc. while brushed DC reduction motors for electronic locks, smartphone holders, 3D printing pens, portable printers and other products.
