How to prevent DC reduction motor from being burned?

Date:2023-12-22 Author:XINDA MOTOR

DC geared motors are widely used in the machinery industry, mainly because of the excellent performance of the equipment. Everyone must protect the equipment during use. So how to prevent the device from being burned? An issue that many users are concerned about. In this issue, the editor will share with you his experience in equipment maintenance.

  1. Too low voltage or jamming of the driven machinery will cause the motor to run overloaded, so it is necessary to keep the working current of the DC reduction motor too high.
  2. Regular inspection and maintenance of the control equipment of the reduction motor plays a decisive role in the normal starting of the motor. Therefore, the motor control equipment should be located in a dry, ventilated, easy-to-operate location, and dusted regularly.
  3. Clean the equipment regularly. During the operation of the motor, a short-circuit medium will be formed, which may damage the insulation layer of the wire, increase the inter-turn short-circuit current, increase the temperature, and thereby burn out the motor. Therefore it is very important to regularly prevent dust and keep the equipment clean.
  4. Stop the machine immediately if you smell any peculiar smell. During the operation of the DC reduction motor, it is necessary to observe whether the motor has vibration, noise and abnormal smell. If any abnormality is discovered, the power supply must be cut off immediately to avoid more unnecessary trouble later.
The above four points are the protective measures taken to prevent the equipment from burning during daily use of DC reduction motors. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the standard operation and pay attention to equipment maintenance. Regular maintenance work is also necessary.
