Is the enameled wire of the motor the same as the electric wire?

Date:2023-09-02 Author:XINDA MOTOR

Enameled wire is an insulated winding wire that realizes electromagnetic conversion; it is made by coating insulating varnish on the conductor and baking it into a uniform and smooth insulating film with a certain thickness.

Enameled wire is mainly used in electrical equipment to realize the conversion of electromagnetic energy, such as converting electrical energy into kinetic energy, converting kinetic energy into electrical energy, converting electrical energy into heat energy or measuring electricity, etc.; it is indispensable in motors, electrical appliances, electrical instruments, telecommunication devices and household appliances. s material.

Enameled wire refers to a metal wire that uses insulating paint as an insulating coating and is used to wind electromagnetic coils. It is also called electromagnetic wire.

There are two commonly used enameled wires, one is pure copper wire coated with a layer of high-strength insulating varnish, and the other is pure aluminum wire coated with a layer of high-strength insulating varnish. The main purpose is to wind the coil windings of motors, generators, transformers, transformers, electromagnets and inductors.

Classification of enameled wire:

1. General-purpose enameled wire (ordinary wire): mainly used for winding wires in general motors, electrical appliances, instruments, transformers, etc., such as polyester enameled wires and modified polyester enameled wires. Only a small amount of single-coated polyesterimide enameled wires use domestic varnishes, but voltage instability is still a concern for manufacturers. Direct solderability polyesterimide varnishes have been successfully developed by the Cable Research Institute.

2. Heat-resistant enameled wire: mainly used for winding wires in motors, electrical appliances, instruments, transformers and other workplaces operating at temperatures of 180°C and above, such as polyester-imide enameled wire, polyimide enameled wire, polyester enameled wire, polyester enameled wire, etc. Imine/polyamide-imide composite enameled wire.

3. Enameled wire for special purposes: refers to winding wires with certain quality characteristics required for specific occasions, such as: polyurethane enameled wire (direct solderability), self-adhesive enameled wire.

Enameled wire specifications:

It is not easy to produce enameled wire that meets both standard requirements and customer requirements. It is affected by raw material quality, process parameters, production equipment, environment and other factors. Therefore, the quality characteristics of various enameled wires are different, but they all have mechanical Performance, chemical performance, electrical performance, thermal performance four major properties. The following is the enameled wire specification table:

Domestic enameled wire specifications

1. QZ-0.12mm²: conductor diameter is 0.12mm, electrical insulation thickness is 0.02-0.03mm.

2. QZ-0.2mm²: Conductor diameter is 0.20mm, electrical insulation thickness is 0.02-0.03mm.

3. QZ-0.3mm²: The conductor diameter is 0.30mm, and the electrical insulation thickness is 0.02-0.03mm.

4. QZ-0.5mm²: The conductor diameter is 0.50mm, and the electrical insulation thickness is 0.02-0.03mm.

5. QZ-0.8mm²: The conductor diameter is 0.80mm, and the electrical insulation thickness is 0.02-0.03mm.

Among them, QZ represents the domestic standard of enameled wire, and the following numbers are the combination of conductor diameter and electrical insulation thickness. Enameled wires of different specifications and models can be selected according to different needs.

Are enameled wires the same as wires?

The two are different, because enameled wire is made on the basis of copper wire, which means that it will be wrapped with a layer of insulator outside the copper wire. Generally speaking, it will be wrapped with plastic, thus forming different wires. . Generally speaking, copper wire is used as a wire, and its thermal conductivity is very good. Enameled wire is a type of winding wire, which is mainly composed of wires and insulation layers. If its outside is softened, it can be made by painting it multiple times.

electric wire:

In life, copper wires are used as conductors.

It has good electrical conductivity and is widely used in the manufacture of wires, cables, brushes, etc.; it has good thermal conductivity and is often used to manufacture magnetic instruments and meters that must be protected against magnetic interference, such as compasses, aviation instruments, etc.; it has excellent plasticity and is easy to hot press and Cold pressure processing can be made into copper materials such as tubes, rods, wires, strips, strips, plates, and foils.

Enameled wire:

Enameled wire is a main variety of winding wire, which is composed of conductor and insulating layer. After the bare wire is annealed and softened, it is painted and baked many times.

However, it is not easy to produce products that meet both standard requirements and customer requirements. It is affected by raw material quality, process parameters, production equipment, environment and other factors. Therefore, the quality characteristics of various enameled wires are different, but they all have Mechanical properties, chemical properties, electrical properties, thermal properties four major properties.
