The motor is inseparable from the insulating varnish. The composition and manufacturing technology of insulating varnish have been continuously updated and improved, which has promoted the development of motor design and manufacturing methods and means.

1. Dip paint:



There are two types of impregnation paints: solvent paint and solvent-free paint. They are mainly used to impregnate the coils of motors and electrical appliances to fill their gaps and micropores. After curing, a continuous and flat paint film can be formed on the surface of the impregnated object. make it bonded into a solid whole. The basic requirements for dipping varnishes are:

Low viscosity, good fluidity, high solid content, easy to penetrate and fill impregnated objects.

Fast curing, good drying performance, strong cohesive force, thermal elasticity, and can withstand the centrifugal force of the motor after curing.

It has excellent electrical properties and chemical stability, moisture resistance, heat resistance and oil resistance.

Good compatibility with conductors and other materials.

2. Enameled wire paint:



Enameled wire varnish is mainly used for coating insulation of enameled wire core. Since the wire will be subjected to heat, chemical and various mechanical forces during the process of winding coils and inserting wires, etc., it is required that the enameled wire varnish has good coating properties (that is, it can be coated evenly), and the paint film has strong adhesion. The surface is smooth, soft and tough, has certain wear resistance and elasticity, good electrical performance, heat resistance, solvent resistance, and no corrosion to conductors.

3. Covering paint:

Covering varnish is used to coat impregnated coils and insulating parts, and form an insulating protective layer with uniform thickness on the surface to prevent equipment insulation from mechanical damage, atmosphere, and chemical erosion, and improve surface insulation strength. Therefore, the covering paint is required to have the characteristics of fast drying, strong adhesion, hard paint film, high mechanical strength, moisture resistance, oil resistance, and corrosion resistance.

Covering paints are divided into alkyd paints, epoxy paints and silicone paints by resin type. Compared with alkyd paint, epoxy paint has better moisture resistance, mildew resistance, internal dryness and adhesion, and high hardness of the paint film. It is widely used in surface coating of electrical and electrical equipment components in hot flash areas. Silicone paint has high heat resistance and can be used as a covering paint for H-class electrical appliances.

4. Silicon steel sheet paint:



Silicon steel sheet paint is used to coat silicon steel sheet to reduce eddy current loss of iron core and enhance corrosion resistance. Silicon steel sheet paint needs to be dried at high temperature for a short time after coating. It is characterized by thin layer, strong adhesion, hardness, smoothness, uniform thickness, oil resistance, moisture resistance, and good electrical properties.

5. Anti-corona paint:

Corona discharge is a kind of discharge phenomenon in which the air in the local space is ionized at the place where the field strength is sharp (such as the sharp point of the electrode) in an extremely uneven electric field, resulting in a blue halo.

Anti-corona paint is generally made of insulating varnish and non-metallic conductor (carbon black, graphite, etc.) powder. It is mainly used as anti-corona paint for high-voltage coils, such as for coil ends with high voltage in large-scale high-voltage motors.

The industry requires that the anti-corona paint has stable surface resistivity, strong adhesion, good wear resistance, fast drying speed, and storage resistance. The anti-corona paint can be coated on the surface of the coil alone, or on asbestos tapes and glass tapes. Wrapped on the outer layer of the coil, or coated on the glass cloth and formed with the main insulation at one time.

6. Surface paint and antirust paint ionization:

Insulating varnish is mainly composed of lacquer base (film-forming substance) and solvent, thinner, filler and so on. Lacquer base is synthetic resin or natural resin, which is liquid or solid with high viscosity at room temperature. Solvents or diluents are used to dissolve the lacquer base, and during the film-forming and curing process of the varnish, it either gradually volatilizes or becomes a combined part of the insulator. Insulating varnishes can be divided into impregnating varnishes, enameled wire varnishes, covering varnishes, silicon steel sheet varnishes and Several kinds of anti-corona paint.

It can be seen how important the insulating varnish is to the motor. It affects the use effect and life of the machine. A stable electrical insulation system can provide protection for the electrical motor. The insulation system can protect the motor from high temperature, chemical, moisture, etc., making it Electric appliances work efficiently and smoothly.

In order to make the motor durable for a long time, in addition to using good insulating paint, regular maintenance and inspection should also be done:

1. Remove the dust and sludge on the outside of the motor base in time. If there is a lot of dust in the use environment, it is best to clean it once a day.

2. Frequently check whether the terminal board screws are loose or burnt.

3. Regularly measure the insulation resistance of the motor. If the use environment is relatively humid, it should be measured more often.

4. Regularly clean the bearings and replace with new oil (usually every six months). The oil should not be filled up when changing the oil, which generally occupies 1/2~1/3 of the oil chamber, otherwise, it is easy to generate heat or be thrown out, and the oil should be added from one side People can squeeze out impurities that have not been cleaned from the other side. 

5. Regularly check the starting equipment to see whether the contacts and wiring are burnt, oxidized, and whether the contact is good, etc.

6. Check the insulation condition. The insulation capacity of insulating materials varies with the degree of dryness, so it is very important to keep the motor windings dry. Therefore, when the motor is in use, the insulation resistance should be checked frequently, and attention should be paid to whether the grounding of the motor casing is reliable.



7. In addition to the maintenance of the motor according to the above items, it is also necessary to overhaul the motor after one year of operation. Its purpose is to conduct a thorough and comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the motor, supplement the missing and worn components of the motor, thoroughly remove the dust and dirt inside and outside the motor, check the insulation, clean the bearings and check their wear.

After the above treatment, not only can effectively prolong the life of the motor, but also have a positive effect on safe production.
