MOTOR DEVELOPMENT TREND ESTIMATION

Date:2023-12-13 Author:XINDA MOTOR

With the continuous progress of society, the continuous development of high technology (especially the application of AI technology), and people's continuous pursuit of a better life, the application of micromotors is becoming more and more widespread. For example: the home appliance industry, automobile industry, office furniture, medical industry, military industry, modern agriculture (planting, breeding, warehousing), logistics and other fields are developing in the direction of automation and intelligence to replace labor, so the motor applications are also expanding in popularity. The future development direction of motors is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Intelligent development direction

As the world's equipment manufacturing industry, industrial and agricultural product production, etc. continue to improve in the direction of movement precision, control precision, movement speed and information precision, it is required that the motor drive system must have self-judgment, self-protection, self-speed regulation, and 5G+ remote control and many other functions, so smart motors must be an important development trend in the future. POWER Company will pay special attention to the research and development of intelligent motors in its future development.

In recent years, we can see a variety of applications of smart motors. Especially during the epidemic, smart devices have played an important role in our fight against the epidemic, such as: smart robots detecting body temperature, smart robots delivering items, smart robots judging epidemic status, etc. .

It also plays an important role in disaster response and rescue, such as: UAV fire judgment, firefighting intelligent robot climbing walls (POWER is already producing this intelligent motor), intelligent robot submarine exploration in deep water areas, etc.

With the continuous improvement of the development of circular economy in our country, modern agriculture will definitely be the development trend of China in the future. President Xi said: "Without agricultural modernization, there would be no modernization of China." Intelligent motors are widely used in modern agriculture, such as: animal breeding: intelligent feeding of food (different amounts of food with different nutritional elements can be provided according to the different growth stages of farmed animals), artificial robot midwifery during animal delivery, animal intelligence Slaughter etc. Plant breeding: intelligent ventilation, intelligent water spraying, intelligent dehumidification, intelligent fruit picking, intelligent sorting and packaging of fruits and vegetables, etc.

2. Low noise development direction

For motors, there are two main sources of motor noise: on the one hand, mechanical noise, and on the other hand, electromagnetic noise. In many motor applications, customers have put forward very high requirements for motor noise. Reducing motor system noise requires comprehensive consideration from many aspects. It is a comprehensive study that integrates mechanical structure, dynamic balance of rotating parts, accuracy of parts, fluid mechanics, acoustics, materials, electronics, magnetic fields, etc., and then based on various simulation experiments, etc. The problem of noise can be solved only through comprehensive consideration. Therefore, in actual work, solving motor noise is a difficult task for motor R&D personnel, but motor R&D personnel often solve the problem based on their previous experience in solving noise. With the continuous development of science and technology and the continuous improvement of requirements, reducing motor noise continues to give higher tasks to motor R&D personnel and scientific and technological workers.

Flat development direction

In the actual application of motors, in many cases when selecting a motor, it is necessary to design the motor to have a larger diameter and smaller length (that is, the motor has a smaller slenderness ratio). For example, for the disc-type flat motor currently produced by POWER, customers require a lower center of gravity for the finished product. , improves the stability of the finished product during operation and reduces the noise during the finished product operation. But if the slenderness ratio is too small, higher requirements will be placed on the production process of the motor. Motors with smaller slenderness ratios are often used in centrifugal separators. When the motor speed is constant (angular velocity), the smaller the slenderness ratio of the motor, the greater the motor linear speed and the better the separation effect.

4. Development direction of lightweight and miniaturization

Lightweighting and miniaturization are an important development direction in motor design, such as aerospace application motors, automotive motors, drone motors, medical equipment motors, etc., which all have high requirements on the weight and volume of motors. In order to achieve the goal of lightening and miniaturizing the motor, that is, reducing the weight and volume of the motor per unit power, motor design engineers must optimize the design during the design process and apply advanced technology and high-quality materials. Since copper is more conductive than aluminum It is about 40% higher, so the application proportion of copper and iron needs to be increased. The cast aluminum rotor can be changed to cast copper. The motor core and magnets also need higher energy level materials, which greatly improves their electrical conductivity and magnetic permeability, but After this optimization, the material cost of the motor will increase. In addition, for miniaturized motors, there are also higher requirements for the production process.

5. Efficient, green and environmentally friendly development

Motor environmental protection includes the application recycling rate of motor materials and the efficiency of motor design. For motor design efficiency, the measurement standard must first be determined. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has unified global motor energy efficiency and measurement standards. Covers motor energy-saving platforms such as the United States (MMASTER) and the European Union (EuroDEEM). Regarding the recycling rate of motor materials, the European Union is about to implement the recycling rate (ECO) standard for motor material applications. Our country is also actively promoting environmentally friendly and energy-saving motors.

The high-efficiency and energy-saving standards for motors in various countries around the world will be raised again, and high-efficiency and energy-saving motors may become a hot item in market demand. On January 1, 2023, five departments including the National Development and Reform Commission of my country issued the "Advanced Level of Energy Efficiency, Energy Saving Level and Access Level of Key Energy-Using Products and Equipment (2022 Edition)" and began to implement it. For the production and import of motors, priority must be given to the production and procurement of energy efficiency reaching Advanced level motor. For the micromotors we currently produce, all countries must have requirements for motor energy efficiency levels for production, import and export.

6. Standardization direction of motors and control systems

The standardization of motors and control systems has always been the goal pursued by motor and control manufacturers. Standardization brings many benefits to R&D, production, cost control, quality control and other aspects. The better standardization of motors and controls is servo motors, exhaust motors, etc.

Motor standardization includes appearance structure standardization and motor performance standardization. The standardization of appearance structure brings the standardization of parts, and the standardization of parts will bring the standardization of parts production and motor production. For the standardization of performance, the performance of the motor can be designed in segments based on the standardization of the motor's shape and structure to meet the performance needs of different customers.

The standardization of control systems includes the standardization of software and hardware and the standardization of interfaces. Therefore, for the control system, the first step is to standardize the hardware and interfaces. Based on the standardization of the hardware and interfaces, software modules can be designed in segments according to market demand to meet the functional needs of different customers.

Summary: The above is the current development direction of motors. With the continuous development of society, people's needs continue to increase and their needs continue to change. As a manufacturer of motors, we must constantly gain insight into market needs and constantly adjust the direction of R&D and production according to market needs. Be in an invincible position in the market competition.
